A Driveway That Actually Lasts 25 Years

A good driveway is mostly about what you don’t see. Base prep is roughly 80% of why a driveway lasts — cut depth, the right rock graded to the right thickness, properly compacted in lifts, with positive drainage away from the house. Skip any of that and the asphalt on top will crack and settle no matter how good the lay was.

We do new pours, full replacements, and resurfacing over existing driveways that still have a solid base. If your existing driveway is just faded and lightly cracked, we’ll usually recommend sealing instead of replacement. If the base has failed, we’ll tell you that straight too.

Our Driveway Paving Process

  1. Site visit & free estimate. Brandon comes out, measures, looks at the base condition and drainage, and writes you a quote on the spot or within a day.
  2. Demo of the old surface (if there is one). We haul the old asphalt off-site for recycling.
  3. Grade and prep. We dig to the right depth, lay and compact base rock, and shape the surface so water moves away from the house and toward the street or a drainage swale.
  4. Hot-mix asphalt lay. 2–3 inches of compacted depth for residential driveways. Edged clean against the garage, sidewalks, or whatever frames it.
  5. Roller compaction. Two passes minimum so it sets dense and smooth.
  6. Cure & first seal. Asphalt needs about 6 months to fully cure. After that, a first sealcoat extends life by years.

Driveway Shapes We’ve Built

  • Straight single-car runs (most common, 300–800 sq ft)
  • Wide two-car driveways with turnaround pads
  • Circular and horseshoe driveways for larger lots
  • Long rural driveways from the street back to the house
  • Walkways and walkway extensions paired with the driveway
  • Driveway extensions for RV parking and ADUs

How Much Does a New Driveway Cost?

Honest answer: it depends on size, base condition, access for our equipment, and how much demo there is. The biggest cost-driver is the base — if the existing prep is solid we save a step; if the soil is bad, we go deeper. We give every Vacaville-area homeowner a free written estimate so there are no surprises.
